Our Mission

Our mission is to offer a health and fitness experience that will improve your overall well-being and create a resilient body that can ebb and flow with life’s daily offerings.

We believe in preventative care and rehabilitation by utilizing Pilates to create strength, mobility, and mental focus.

After your first Pilates session, you will leave feeling lengthened and energized! In every subsequent session, you will feel more confident in the routine exercises Pilates Elevated builds for your lifestyle needs.

Our team

Melissa Kuzma

Owner, Instructor

Melissa Kuzma started her Pilates journey back in 2014 following an injury while training for a triathlon and marathon. Along with rehabbing her body, she fell in love with the way her body felt stronger, more flexible, and how it helped prevent injuries in other physical endeavors. Melissa became a certified Comprehensive Balanced Body instructor in 2020 and has been teaching ever since. In addition to being a Pilates instructor, Melissa is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Massage Therapist who practices out of her husband’s chiropractic clinic in Buffalo, MN. In her spare time, she enjoys training for whatever race may be around the corner, making sourdough, knitting, reading, and getting outdoors. She is a mother of three children and many furries.

Michelle Elletson

Owner, Instructor

Michelle Elletson has a passion for fitness that led her to a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of MN. She has been teaching fitness classes for over 20 years and has worked in corporate fitness, eating disorder physical therapy, and spinal rehabilitation. She has a background in ballet and has been known to sneak some barre flow into her classes now and then. It’s her way of “living her ballerina dream.”

Michelle started her Pilates journey in 2008. Pilates has helped her improve posture, reduce low back pain, and increase core strength. She loves to witness when things “click” for her clients as they learn to activate core muscles and master kinesthetic awareness. Michelle believes Pilates is the best way to improve quality of life at all ages. Her life outside of teaching includes running, cooking, watching movies with her husband and two boys, and singing mediocre karaoke at dive bars.

Class Information

Classes and privates are 50 minutes in length. If this is your first time visiting Pilates Elevated, please arrive 10 minutes early so we can gather health information and introduce you to our space.
